Rigby & Rigby, alongside Allect’s stable of brands: Lawson Robb, and Helen Green Design, is proud to be hosting the Rugby World Cup England Vs USA match, 26th of September, at the Brook Street head office. The event will invite clients and friends to enjoy the rugby with an American style lunch and refreshments, all to raise much needed funds for charity ‘Wings for Life’. With a donation of £20 or more per guest, Rigby & Rigby is hoping to raise more than £600 for the charity with the total value being match funded by the Allect Group.
Wings for Life has a mission to make any spinal cord injury curable, they are a not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation with the aim to find a cure for spinal cord injury. They fund world-class scientific research and clinical trials around the globe aimed at healing the injured spinal cord. Wings for Life is dependent on donations from individuals and companies. 100% of all of their donations are used for research purposes, as all their administrative costs are covered by the Red Bull Company.
Iain Johnson comments, “With around 250,000 traumatic spinal cord injuries every year, and yet no cure, it is even more distressing to learn that 50% of these injuries are due to road accidents – and are totally unpredictable. With our event, we hope to raise awareness and funds for essential research into these life-changing injuries.”
There are a number of ways to contribute to the mission of this charity, a sponsored run, or organising your own charity event or activity, such as gala dinners, quiz nights, exhibitions, sports events, auctions and much more. On their website, there is also the opportunity to make a one-off donation, purchase a gift card or purchase a range of merchandise. 100% of all donations go to the most promising research projects around the world to help regenerate the injured spinal cord.
