Rigby & Rigby Begins Architectural Designs for Country House Mansion

In the heart of Warwickshire in amongst deep green landscape and woodlands lies a less than pretty one-storey 1970’s property. The home current will be demolished, and in its place constructed a new-build country mansion.

Rigby & Rigby are in the concept design stage, envisaging what the property will become. The location used to boast a Regency mansion with Gothic influences built in the 1800s, demolished in the late 1970s due to maintenance costs. Our client’s desire is to recreate a contemporary version of this grand countryside mansion.

The current designs include a grand hallway and central staircases, with twelve bedrooms, gym, swimming pool with a sauna and steam room, a cinema, formal gardens, and a six-car garage. Rigby & Rigby is also designing the gatehouse at the very entrance and a traditional style greenhouse.

As the property is in the green belt, there have been design limitations on the height of the mansion, but with copious amounts of land – the property extends in a ‘H’ shape, with a traditional façade.

Dave Ellis, Lead Architect on the project, comments, “Project CV35 180 is a really exciting property to be working on. It’s a new build that brings together traditional concepts with contemporary design to create an extraordinary and beautiful countryside residence.”
