Rigby & Rigby awarded Safe Contractor status

Rigby & Rigby, one of the UK’s leading developers of super-prime property, has been awarded accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor, for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace.

Rigby & Rigby has built a reputation for excellence; working sensitively and safely to deliver complex development projects in some of London’s most exclusive postcodes, not only through its own award-winning, multi-disciplinary team – but also through a small, carefully chosen group of partners, all of whom share Rigby & Rigby’s commitment to high operational standards.

Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading third-party accreditation scheme, which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors. Rigby & Rigby’s health and safety procedures and its extensive track record of safe practice were examined with positive results.

Iain Johnson, Director of Allect International Design Group, which owns Rigby & Rigby, said:

“SafeContractor status provides evidence of the high operational standards that clients have come to expect from the Rigby & Rigby team and reassurance to clients that they are choosing a development firm that strives for excellence in every aspect of a project – from concept design through to impeccable delivery on site.”

Gemma Archibald, Director of Alcumus SafeContractor said: “Leading organisations like Rigby & Rigby simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.”

“More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Rigby & Rigby has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the super-prime development sector. SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”
