Lancelot House Receives Excellent Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) Score

Rigby & Rigby is proud to announce that we have been awarded with an excellent score with the Considerate Constructors Scheme for our special project ‘Lancelot House’ in Knightsbridge. The 17,000 sq. ft mansion features six bedrooms, two apartments, a double-height swimming pool, spa, cinema, parking for nine cars via two car stacking mechanisms, a roof terrace and a courtyard garden.

Rigby & Rigby has scored an excellent score from the Considerate Constructors Scheme which scores sites across the UK on varying factors including care about appearance, respecting the community, securing everyone’s safety and valuing the workforce. The inspecting officer comment on Rigby & Rigby’s site as

“One of the top 5% of sites visited across the country”.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a non-profit-making, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image. Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. It looks across any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry overall. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the public, the workforce and the environment.

Any site, company or supplier that registers with the Scheme makes a commitment to meet the minimum requirements of the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice. To establish compliance, and recognise performance beyond compliance, Scheme Monitors visit sites, offices, depots and individual work areas, and use Checklists to confirm a score against each of the five Code headings – Appearance, Community, Environment, Safety and Workforce. Each section of the Checklist is scored out of 9 points, with a score of 5 indicating compliance.

Rigby & Rigby’s scores were received as follows:

  • Care about Appearance: 9/9
  • Respect the Community: 8/9
  • Protect the Environment: 8/9
  • Secure everyone’s Safety: 8/9
  • Value their Workforce: 8/9
