Rigby & Rigby Raises £1,000 for Charity Wings for Life

Rigby & Rigby, alongside Allect’s stable of brands: Lawson Robb, and Helen Green Design, is proud to have hosted the Rugby World Cup England Vs USA match, last Friday 26th of September, at the Brook Street head office. The event invited clients and friends to enjoy the rugby with an American style lunch and refreshments, all to raise much needed funds for charity ‘Wings for Life’. The kind donations both before and during the event enabled Allect to raise £1,000.00 for Wings for Life and this will all go towards the charity’s aim of finding a cure to spinal cord injury.

Iain Johnson, Director – Head of Residential at Allect, comments, “I’d like to thank our guests for attending the Rugby World Cup Match Event hosted by Allect in aid of Wings for Life. We would like to personally thank Dominik Mitsch for speaking about the charity and what the support means to them. At Allect we aim to support charities close to our own hearts so that we can see the direct impact that our fundraising goes towards.”

Wings for Life has a mission to make any spinal cord injury curable, they are a not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation with the aim to find a cure for spinal cord injury. They fund world-class scientific research and clinical trials around the globe aimed at healing the injured spinal cord.  Wings for Life is dependent on donations from individuals and companies. 100% of all of their donations are used for research purposes, as all their administrative costs are covered by the Red Bull Company.

Will Rigby, Project Manager at Rigby & Rigby, who won the main prize of an England shirt at the event, commented, “What an excellent event for rugby lovers, it was great to have a genuine reason to break from the week and watch the match for a fantastic cause. As a lifetime rugby supporter, I was thrilled to have won the England shirt, not the kind of thing I would have ever bought, but now I am a very proud owner. A very big thank you again for organising this event and I’m delighted that a £1,000 was raised for such a good cause.”
