4th Certificate of Excellence awarded to Lancelot House by the Considerate Constructors Scheme

Rigby & Rigby is proud to announce that we have been awarded our fourth Certificate of Excellence under the CCS (Considerate Constructors Scheme) for our special project ‘Lancelot House’ located on Lancelot Place in Knightsbridge. The 17,000 sq. ft mansion features six bedrooms, two apartments, a double-height swimming pool, spa, cinema, parking for nine cars via two car stacking mechanisms, a roof terrace and a courtyard garden.

This is the fourth year in a row that the scheme has been acknowledged by this prestigious awarding body. The project is located a short distance from Harrods with residential neighbours nearby, we acknowledged the importance of abiding by the Code of Considerate Practise during this time and for the length of the project.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a non-profit-making, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image. Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. It looks across any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry overall. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the public, the workforce and the environment.

Any site, company or supplier that registers with the Scheme makes a commitment to meet the minimum requirements of the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice. To establish compliance, and recognise performance beyond compliance, Scheme Monitors visit sites, offices, depots and individual work areas, and use Checklists to confirm a score against each of the five Code headings – Appearance, Community, Environment, Safety and Workforce.

Leroy Smith, Project Manager at Rigby & Rigby, who looks after the project comments,

“Thanks to everyone involved for helping to achieve this excellent accolade. Although a high score to be proud of, we are now looking at ways to be more innovative onsite within the project. The team has worked hard to achieve this accreditation with CCS and it is a testament to them.”
