Rigby & Rigby Features on Archetech with Berkeley Arcade Residences

Rigby & Rigby has recently featured in Archetech, a publication directly delivered to accredited Architects, Architectural Technologists, and Interior Designers working on various projects and sectors throughout the world.

Archetech featured our upcoming Mayfair project on Curzon Street: Berkeley Arcade Residences, a residential-led mixed-use scheme with architecture by Pilbrow & Partners and development management from Rigby & Rigby. As development managers, Rigby & Rigby have been instrumental in securing planning permission for this significant development in Mayfair. The Berkeley Arcade Residences will comprise of 42 spectacular apartments and a retail arcade connecting Stratton Street and Curzon Street. The development is set to establish a rare collection of apartments and luxury retailers in the heart of Mayfair.

The Residences

With private residential entrances on both Stratton Street and Curzon Street, the residences have a unique approach to space, function and design to suit its internal proportions. Berkeley Arcade Residences features an expansive 8th floor Penthouse, arranged around 2 internal and 5 external terraces. Thoughtfully considered, the Penthouse’s 5 bedrooms, private gym, study and generously proportioned open-plan living, and dining is the epitome of exquisite urban living.

Serviced by world class concierges, the exclusive residences will provide privacy and tranquillity in the heart of London with a private members pocket terrace, private dining and boardroom facilities, pool, spa tailored storage or archive solution and amenities such as parking spaces.

The Arcade

Taking inspiration from Parisian and Mayfair Arcades, the Berkeley Arcade has elegantly proportioned colonnades and archways. Lined with trees, the double height arcade is structured as a series of radial domes split by arches. Home to a mix of the most historic and prestigious brands in the world, Berkeley Arcade will complement the shops in the locality.

Iain Johnson, founder of the Allect International Design Group: which Rigby & Rigby forms part of its stable “It’s an amazing scheme and a rare opportunity for the city, we have been able to unlock the last piece of the Mayfair residential jigsaw through collaboration with the experienced design team and we have been fortunate enough as part of this process to offer a key piece of urban design to Westminster council with the new arcade linking the Stratton Street to Curzon Street. It’s been a pleasure to be part of this complex process and we are extremely happy for the community and the client with the end proposition.”
